Did I mention that I love my new job? Going into business for yourself can be really scary but you also have huge perks, like the ability to pick and choose who you work for, and only do work for people and businesses that you love and that line up with your ethics, interests, and aesthetic. One of my favorite clients is Bake It Pretty. I write most of the blog posts over at the Bake It Pretty blog, and my other duties include coordinating giveaways, talking to potential sponsors and bloggers, and doing fun things like visiting cupcake shops and then writing about them. Babies and showers!

Ladies, gird your loins and ovaries, there are cute kid pictures ahead! Saturday I joined a bunch of awesome girls at my friend Casey’s house to celebrate our friend Laurel getting knocked up for the second time. Yayyyy! It’s a girl! Look at that crafty banner! I love the name she’s chosen for her baby girl (Kingsley). It was a fun, low key baby shower. We ate some food, played some games, and Laurel opened all her gifts. I won the game where you get to steal people’s clothespins if they say “baby”. It was kind of a no-contest win since I was the only one there without kids. Ha.
