The snaggletoothed sheep says, “We here at myaimistrue.com apologize for the dearth of news lately, but due to much wedding planning, grave illness and boring work-related things, there hasn’t been much to post. Thanks to Jimmy, we have some pictures of some of my fellow fabulous zoo residents to show you since Amber can’t come up with anything interesting.”
No seriously though, Friday and Saturday I felt AWFUL, I didn’t get off the couch Saturday at all but survived thanks to Jimmy. Sunday he dragged me out of the house for a little bit, I am feeling so much better. Stomach flu is the worst.
Thursday we’ll celebrate five years together and I got us a membership to the Virginia Zoo for 2008 as a little anniversary present. I think Jimmy was pretty stoked. My favorite part of the zoo is the barnyard but he really likes the lions.
Scary that these guys live in walking distance of Jimmy’s apartment.
Giraffes are so weird.

the giraffe at the L.A Zoo has a crooked neck....it's like a birth defect. The also have this cool prarie dog exhibit where they have these domes IN THE ENCLOSURE and you g through this underground tunnel and stick your head up in these plastic domes in the middle of the prarie dogs...the plastic is all foggy though so you really can't see that well.
They have the prairie dog thing at our zoo too! it's so cool!
Man, those giraffes are cute!
Wow... everyone has had the stomach flu... from coast to coast. I'm hoping and praying I don't get it. Glad you're feeling better!

Sorry to hear you were sick!! We should meet you guys at the zoo sometime. Max could stay in the barn all day, it's his favorite!
My son and I go to the zoo all of the time; it is right down the street from our house and perfect for an afternoon stroll. The kangaroos are m.i.a. lately- but they are my favorite. I also love the ostriches- such strange animals. The barnyard is Henry's favorite, along with the monkey exhibit. Am I the only one that feels sad walking amongst the caged birds?

Ugh, I hope you get better soon! Everyone here has been suffering from colds and the flu, too.
Prarie Dogs are Rad....actaully the coolest thing at the L.A Zoo is the Chimp Habitat! They have their own personal Super Playground...last time I was there it was like 100+ degrees so all the chimps were snoozing in the shade and all these people were furious they weren't playing...I was like, "Hey would you play in 105 degree heat?"
