07 January, 2008Thanks
I had a little work done. Is it obvious?
All joking aside, I just wanted to say, wow. I was overwhelmed by all the honest, brave, insightful, encouraging and pensive responses to my last post. I feel privileged that such an intelligent, self-aware group of people is reading my site. After reading all the comments, especially from people I know, I felt like I wanted to form some sort of Body Image Fight Club or something, where we can all get together and figure out how to ditch the negative self-talk and work on edifying one another. I guess I’m just trying to say, y’all inspire me.
I just have one more thing to say to you guys. Like my friend Sloane said to me, just relax and be yourself! It’s way better that way!

Have you seen the new show with Carson Kressley, How to Look Good Naked? http://www.mylifetime.com/on-tv/shows/how-look-good-naked I was pleasantly surprised at how healthy and tasteful it is. Check it out on Lifetime!
Hey you inspired me to finally quit WW:) I felt liberated all weekend! And you also inpsired me a while back to buy Veganomicon. We had bean balls and spaghetti tonight. Awesomeness. And my son wanted me to pass on that "The puppy is very cute." We even got some "Awwwss" out of him.
The beauty of a person comes from the sparkle in their eyes, the excitement in their voice when they share a passionate thought, when their actions bring a smile to another just because.
Body image crosses so many lines that not so obvious but you are not alone in your corner of this fight. You inspire is too!

Hey, who cuts your hair? It always looks great, even with the "makeover"
Amber,
"Taking it Easy" was a well-written set of thoughts that helped me gain insight into what some people face over food, and, if I translate the issues into my own, I can guarantee you've hit on concepts that transcend "eating" and weight.
Very nice.
Thanks.
Ronn.
I just started reading your blog and I'm in love! (not in a weird way). :)
I'm 31, living in Atlanta, going through a transitional period of my life and I must admit I'm finding lots of inspiration from your life. You're a special lady.
Thanks.
Kris
