20 December, 200750 years of excellence

Last night I gave my mom a little pre-birthday-trip-weekend present. A surprise website with comments, wishes, stories and memories from people all throughout her life. I think she likes it.
Check it out! www.sherrys50thbirthday.com
My whole family is off to Hot Springs, Virginia, to stay at the King’s Victorian Inn for a few days (we’ve got the Boxwood Cottage), attempting to avoid injury while participating in snow-related sports at Snowshoe, and generally freezing to death in the western Virginia mountains. Then it’s off to Roanoke with Jimmy to celebrate Christmas with his family. I’ll be back soon with lots of pictures. Merry Christmas, everyone!

What a wonderful and thoughtful gift. Great design too, the page looks lovely!
You did a stunning job putting it all together. The tributes and wishes are awesome. When she sees it she will be awed. Hope she doesn't spend too long reading while you are away. Go out and have a great time away.
Best wishes for the Christmas break.
Cheers

Ok, that site is so amazing. I read your site from time to time, I've never met you or your mother, but reading through some things people posted to/about her brought tears to my eyes. What a wonderful gift!

That is simply fabulous!! I gave my dad a website for his birthday (www.dsbones.com), but this is a whole different thing and simply a lovely concept -- WONDERFUL!
How long will you keep it up for?
it;s nice to stay in some else's house, isn't it? My family rents a house for thanksgiving (in Virgina Beach) and it's so nice to have the space to spread out.
