19 October, 2006Partay!

The party last night was really fun. Thanks to everyone who came out: Annie, Alicia, Flza, Denise, Cassie, Heidi, Grace, Ashley, Kyle and Chris. I had a great time!

Even though I was rooting for Laura, I’m not mad that NeckTat won, and I thought his collection (minus two looks) was divine. There is a full recap with photos of all four collections coming up later today so watch for it.

And of course the most important guest of the party: the food. Here’s all the food I made, minus the bruschetta which was still cooking. Yeah, I made Oreos from scratch, aren’t you impressed?

Open letter to the girl in the second picture with the grey sweater:
I COVET YOUR SWEATER. It is seriously cute.
Sincerely,
Me
(great pics, amber, as always)
i hadn't seen your house from this view - it's awesome! I love the typography on the wall and the elvis costello print.
i only keep up with PR through your journal, but I was hoping Laura would win :(
you look GREAT!
I told you he was gonna win. Didn't see it, but I read that he had won this morning. I look forward to your re-cap.
I felt all smart this morning, predicting he would win, based soley on your re-caps of the show. hehehe. ;-)
Your hair looks amazing :)
Haha. Everyone looks SO happy in the first picture. Talk about grumpy faces! ;) And, mm, that food looks devine!
now we all know the secret to your project runway recaps! meticulous note taking & dvr. i'm impressed.
Your kitchen makes me weep with joy. So so pretty!
The party was fun, Amber. Thanks for inviting me.
The console and couch are just as impressive in person. And for some reason, I don't remember seeing Elvis Costello over my head.
Another note - your food spread looked very delicious, but when I meet people for the first time, I get really nervous, and when I get really nervous, I don't eat. I don't eat b/c there could be the chance that I would need to use the restroom (poop!) and well, that woudn't make a very good impression. I did eat most of the wontons on the way home. Fried creamy crab - delicious!
And to the person who liked the sweater - thanks! I love it, too. I wear it constantly and it's starting to pill and grow a fro.
I think you're jerking my chain on the homemade oreos!
You should put something....blluueee on the wall. :D
it was a fantabulous time, amber!
you look fabulous. when are we gonna have a chesttat post?
i love your new tat!
it looks great on you.
loved the all the recaps.
1) ok, I love your house.
2) your guest? the girl with the short brunette hair and the F*CKING AMAZING sweater? Might you ask her where that sweater is from? It's divine and I would pay millions of dollar for it.
Love love love the pics -- great shots of the kitchen/livingroom. Oh, and I'm sorry about poor little Kyla.
I'm one of those damned lurkers who is *finally* going to comment...on the kickass portrait of Elvis. Awesome!
But seriously - I heart your blog and absolutely love the recaps. I haven't watched the show in a couple of years but I think your recaps might be better then sitting through the whole thing some times. Sometimes I think about recaping America's Next Top Model but I would never be as clever as you!
And I'm very sad that Laura didn't win.
To: Tiff and Raquel
I'm the brunette with the grey sweater. It's BCBG and I got it from Dillards a couple years back. They came out with a golden sweater in the same style last season, so I'm excited to see what comes out this winter.
Fortunately it wasn't millions! Course I have probably worn it a million times, but I only paid....drumroll...40 bucks (or less - I can't remember)! At the end of the season, Dillards marks down the BCBG mucho.
cassie -- Thanks, baby! I'm keeping my eagle eye trained on Dillards. If I can't have the grey, i'm hoping a dark blue with the same buttons becomes available.
I am totally loving the Elvis Costello print!
what is Dillards? (just kidding, but seriously, we don't have that here in Michigan. Maybe it's worth a drive to Ohio when the markdowns begin)
Thanks Cassie.
