Ladies, gird your loins and ovaries, there are cute kid pictures ahead! Saturday I joined a bunch of awesome girls at my friend Casey’s house to celebrate our friend Laurel getting knocked up for the second time. Yayyyy! It’s a girl!

Look at that crafty banner! I love the name she’s chosen for her baby girl (Kingsley). It was a fun, low key baby shower. We ate some food, played some games, and Laurel opened all her gifts. I won the game where you get to steal people’s clothespins if they say “baby”. It was kind of a no-contest win since I was the only one there without kids. Ha.

crafty favors and decorations

Check out these adorable favors – little baby booties made from styrofoam cups, and filled with candy! Genius. The rest of the decorations were super easy but fancy-looking too. Pink and black balloons, tissue paper flowers (like the ones above), and a clothesline with tons of cute baby clothes on it (which of course went home with Laurel as gifts after the party).

Casey and Adam’s little girl Ella is the most well-behaved kid I’ve ever known. And she is just beautiful!

See what I mean?!?!?

You know I took cupcakes to the party. In fact, I didn’t make these from scratch for once. I received a whole box full of goodies from Naturally Nora to review for the Bake It Pretty blog. Check out my review there and the verdict on the all-natural baking mixes.

I think I’m going to try my hand at some of those tissue paper flowers. I think they’d just look pretty in a vase in my office or somewhere. Have any of you made them before? Anybody have any other simple party decoration ideas floating around?
